Pašā vasaras sākumā Maybelline nāca klajā ar vairākiem produktiem, sekojot karstākajiem trendiem, un es vēlējos pastāstīt kā man ar tiem izdevās vai neizdevās sastrādāties.

I hope that this summer I will have enough time to spare some of my precious time to update this blog more frequently, because I have lots of new products to tell you about and this is the next post in the New In series.
At the very beginning of the summer Maybelline launched a couple of new and exciting products following the hottest trends and I wanted to share my impressions and how I managed or didn't manage to incorporate them into my daily routine.


1. Maybelline Master Brow Pro Palette - Deep Brown

Uzacu palete, kas sastāv no vaska un divām pūderveida ēnām - gaišās izgaismošanai un tumšās uzacu iekrāsošanai, kā arī pavisam nelielas otiņas. Otiņa noteikti ir noderīga ceļojot un ņemot paleti līdzi ikdienas gaitās, taču esot mājās to nelietoju. Vieglāk ir izmantot atsevišķu otiņu ar kuru uzacu ieēnošana notiek daudz raitāk. Vasks man patīk, to izmantoju arī atsevišķi karstās dienās, kad daudz kosmētiku uz sejas negribas likt. Tumšais ēnu tonis man šķiet labs, tikai ar to jābūt uzmanīgam un tas jālieto "ar vieglu roku", lai uzacis neizskatītos pārāk smagnēji. Gaišo toni lietoju ļoti maz un reti, jo, manuprāt, daudz labāks ir gaišais tonis no The Blushed NUDES acu ēnu paletes. Tas nav tik blāvs un pūderīgs.

Eyebrow palette that consists of wax and 2 powder shadows - light for the highlighting and dark for filling in the eyebrows as well as a tiny brush for application. The brush is definitely useful when travelling, but for use at home I prefer normal angled brush, because then the process goes faster. I like the wax, mainly I use it on really hot days when I have no desire to use a lot of makeup. What is more, I think that the dark shadow is ok when using it very lightly, otherwise the eyebrows look a bit overdone and nobody wants that, right? The light shade I use very rarely and prefer the lightest shade from The Blushed NUDES palette, because it is much more pigmented and does not come off as too powdery. 


2. Maybelline The Colossal Go Chaotic! skropstu tuša / mascara

Nenoliegšu, ka kādreiz Maybelline Colossal tušas bija vienas no manām mīļākajām, tāpēc biju ļoti ieinteresēta šajā produktā un pēc iespējas ātrāk vēlējos to pamēģināt. Diemžēl manas cerības netika attaisnotas, jo skropstu tuša pāris brīžus pēc uzklāšanās sāk smērēt gan virs, gan zem-acu zonu. Haotisko efektu ar šo ir iespējams panākt, taču fakts, ka nepārtraukti jāskrien pie spoguļa, lai pārliecinātos, ka acis neizskatās kā pandai, atspēko visas labās īpašības.

I won't deny that Maybelline Colossal mascara was once one of my favourites, that is why I was really excited to try this product as soon as possible! Unfortunately, my expectations were not met, because this mascara, even though it gives the chaotic and dramatic effect, smudges A LOT both under and above the eye area. It is not pleasant to run to look in the mirror frequently just to see if everything is still in place, that's why it's a no from me... 



3. Maybelline The Blushed NUDES palette

Esmu dzirdējusi ļoti pretējus viedokļus par šo paleti. Ir cilvēki, kuri ir sajūsmā par tās sniegumu, toņiem un intensitāti, citi neizrāda tik pozitīvas emocijas. Es esmu kaut kur pa vidu. Lai arī toņi ir ļoti skaisti un noturība ar bāzi šķiet pietiekama, vienīgais, kas mani kaitina, ir plastmasas iepakojums, jo tas mani vizuāli nepavisam nepiesaista, kā arī atvēršana nav tik ērta kā gribētos. Pievienoto otiņu neizmantoju, bet ticu, ka arī tai var atrast pielietojumu, lai izveidotu lielisku acu grimu. Kā arī es nezinu vai tā ir tikai man, bet daži toņi kā tādi man šķiet blāvi. Esmu redzējusi arī citu blogeru un vlogeru rakstus un video ar šo paleti darbībā, un liekas, ka vairumam ar to nav bijušas problēmas.

I have heard contradictory opinions about this palette. There are people who are amazed by its colours, lasting and ability to blend, but others do not show that much of a positive attitude towards it. I am somewhere in the middle. Even though the shades are beautiful and they last at least for half a day with a normal eyeshadow base, the packaging puts me off. I do not like it visually nor practically, because it is not that effortless to open it as it seems. Also, I do not use the included brush, but I believe that it is possible to find use for it to crease a beautiful eye makeup. What is more, I do not really know if that is true only for me, but I find some of the shades a bit too sheer. I have seen fellow bloggers and vloggers using this palette and it seems that for most of them it is not a problem.
